Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American singer and actress is very popular. Sara Ramirez was brought up by an American mother, and encountered a number of racial slurs and led her to feel unwelcome. When she went to school contests and received great praise for her performance when she was in the ninth grade, the girl began to grow more confident. This not only increased confidence in herself, but it also changed her goals for the future. In 1992, she earned her degree from New York's Julliard School. In 1993, she had her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was You've Got Mail. The most notable accomplishment of her career occurred when she played The Lady of The Lake as Spamalot's first Broadway production. In addition to being the only actress to receive the Tony Award, but her performance was also well-received by reviewers. Later that year, as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC the show, she received more recognition. A well-known performer, she has also released both an album and a musical. In her role as an activist, she is a tireless advocate in the cause of LGBT equality.
