Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actress and singer. As a young actress, she appeared in Broadway role, she was in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. The play You Can't Take It With You, she won the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in the Play. Annaleigh, Tony Award-winning actress and director, has spent the majority of her career working alongside well-known directors and actors in film and on television. Ashford will be next as a co-star with Kumail Nanjiani, in Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive Welcome to Chippendales. It debuts on the 22nd November. Ashford's current film includes the Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust, starring alongside Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. The film is it is a Hulu Original, the film will be a part of Disney DTC's platform. Ashford, who will appear opposite Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in the March 2023 production of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production is produced by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team who created Hamilton. Ashford's most recent part was that of Paula Jones on Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment. It is based upon the National scandal that featured Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky, and Linda Tripp. Ashford appeared for two seasons in the CBS successful comedy B Positive. It was co-produced by Chuck Lorre with Marco Pennette. The show featured Linda Lavin, Hector Elizondo, and Ben Vereen. Ashford is no stranger to Broadway. The role she played as Essie in You Can't Take It with You won her the Tony Drama Desk Awards and Outer Critics Circle Awards. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde are amongst her additional Broadway performances. Ashford is a native of Denver. She was born and born in Denver and now lives in Los Angeles and New York.
